Just ran to Washington Park and the lake is rolling pretty good. Water is dirty quite a ways out. Also stopped by the lamprey dam and it's loaded with fish below. Wondering how fishing will be tomorrow if the lake cooperates.

If the Lake cooperates is the key. I think best case scenario we start off in 3 footers. ugh.......

I agree. I'm in the fence at the moment on whether it will be worth going. Hopefully it starts laying down earlier than the forecast says.

Buoy is showing 8.6' now. Lol! I don't recall stellar fishing after a blow like this.

I don't know boys. This is as of 6:30pm from Portage. Didn't catch the waves exploding over the pier and break wall at the mouth.
What is the protocol if both days are cancelled? Is it scrapped all together or would they try for next weekend?

We have decided not to fish it. I still have a wrenched back from last week, my first mate has a bum knee, and its just going to be plain rough out there for those of us in small boats.

I believe they will likely have the tournament tomorrow because they dont want to cancel it. Rich generally has a 3' and under rule, but I am guessing that might stretch a bit but that is only speculation. Wave forecast suggests 3's to 4's as soon as we get into the lake. I am not aware of any potential plans to push it to next week, but I suppose that could happen. If so I wouldn't be able to do it Saturday because of prior engage so shucks.......

It will be interesting to see what happens.

We're making the same call as Dirty. 9:00 and it's still 7.2 at the buoy. I cannot see tomorrow am being small boat friendly. Good luck to all fishing the Slam. I'm bluegill fishing instead.
