Yeah, I've done it at Willow Slough as well. Once had a friend kill his two birds with one shot within the first five minutes of the hunt. Crazy.

I think it is a good time usually. You can get your birds quickly if you find the birds flocked together. At Glendale a new breeder was contracted to supply the birds. These were the most robust fast flying pheassnts that I can remember. They also really liked to run just like wild birds do. I am looking forward to the next state run hunts. I plan to go all the days next year if possible. Maybe some of southenders would like to taste a southern pheasant hunt. You'll come back for more.
