Fished the HCC Champ Series round 2 over the weekend. The top notch crew was Steve (Plane To Sea), Tim (Tmik34), Tony (Cruise), Bob (Bob/Kellian), Alvin (KingMe).

Went offshore due north of portage early on Saturday in 70-80 FOW. We got 3 coho and a 2 Steelhead early, then it was dead. Everything felt wrong so the crew decided it was time to head in and fish out in front of the ditch. I am sure glad we did. We ended up landing 17 Steelhead with some of the most amazing aerial theatrics I have ever witnessed. Those fish were fired up. It was an epic day that will never be forgotten and would be hard to beat.

And then came along Sunday.... We ended up boating 23 Steelhead with the biggest being 17 lbs. We had a quad on, and landed all 4. We had another quad on, that quickly turned into 6 on at the same time. What a dang fire drill. Had a few tangles and managed to get 4 of them in. I dont think I have ever had a better weekend of fun on LM. It was truly amazing. Cruise took a bunch of gopro video - cant wait to see that all edited up.

We ran primarily orange and bright colored spoons on flat lines to 150 coppers. Riggers down 15 to 25. Speed 2.6 to 3.0. 35-50 FOW.

I belive MC was on fire saturday and sunday was mixed results. Seems like over the weekend, the first half of the day was much better than the second half.
