The buoy is showing a huge temp break today. Water changes from 69 degrees to 49 degrees between 49 and 52 feet.

Been watching it. Saying good chance of rain Tues too. May set up a winning combo close to home!

Still got cold water. Air temp and humidity are supposed to be climbing.

We are on the fence about where to fish this Fri afternoon and weekend. Going up north some has been our focus all along, but hard to pass on our current local conditions.

We could go as far as Manistee, but believe they have their big tournament this weekend. From chatter heard, Ludington is getting so crowded, boat launch parking concerns, and no availability in a hotel stay has us shying away from going back there currently.

Online videos showing decent fishing anywhere from Port Sheldon north.

My boy wants to stay home in the cold water. Any thoughts? Thanks, Jay.

Id go north. Many years the water this time of year has been pristine on the southend with no fish around offshore or in close yet.

Tim might be correct, that the bite is probably better north. But, like you I have been watching the temps. I am going to try to get out this evening and give it a try. When we get these temp breaks many times they are brief. Occasionally we set up like now were you have a 10ft. area of cold water along the bottom. Thats enough for our kings to try to sneak in. The temps have been holding kinda steady, so it just might be time to try around here. Only one way to know.

Ok, looking forward to your report back. Good luck.

We will likely try MC Friday evening, and let that play on what we do for the weekend.

Thanks for the input fellas. Very much appreciated and glad we can be a part of this great group!

When the sun went down the lake started to lay down pretty nice. Thats the best part of my report tonight. Worked out to 53 ft. out of Portage. Did have 2 fly by's, they followed for a bit then spooked.
