Was up at Northpoint most of last week. Fishing wasn't on fire, but it was a fun trip with friends, great weather.  

The photo here shows - slow and steady gets the work done. Couldn't fit all the filets into my 100 quarter (and we ate a few).  Not all mine - there were three of us.

North Point Marina is located at Winthrop Harbor, Illinois. It's right at the the Wisconsin/Illinois border.  You will not find a marina better set up for fishermen. It has probably 10 ramps, all in good repair, long courtesy piers, nice, clean public restrooms and a great fish cleaning station.  It usually has pretty good fishing from May right on through the season since it has deep water just a few miles offshore. The only downside to it is the damn city someone built between my house and the marina (as well as all those tolls and traffic).  

That's great information. I really appreciate it!  I want to go to Port Washington Wisconsin but the traffic really concerns me pulling a 26ft Stamas Hardtop but I think we are going to give it a try when the big kings start showing up. 

Right now Port Washington is on fire.

That's one of the Wisconsin side ports I've not fished. I'm heading for Sheboygan just after July 4th.  Hopefully another stuffed cooler shot for the ride home.  

Actually, other than the tolls taking 294 around Chi-Town isn't much of a deal. Most of the trips I make, the stretch from I-65 to where I-80 splits off is the worst of the traffic.  Just get in a right lane, Go about 5 mph slower than the traffic flow and it's not all that bad.  

Awesome. I'll give that a try. Port Washington is on fire right now. Its unbelievable. 

I love Port Washington Marina. Its been years since I've been there but the fishing is awesome.

Are they getting Kings in Port Washington?  I only ask because typically that’s a later season thing. Like late June / July.
