I’ll give you a quick rundown, and my friends are going to disown me. Went for an evening fishing excursion before the rain two-man limit 30 fish . 18-40fw . They are out there and you will have to look for them ,I won’t disclose locations but most of you know their patterns. Stay safe on the water. Heading to traverse city for a week of fishing will report on progress .

Glad you got on some. Post or not, doesn’t seem to matter. Can find them anywhere from North Chicago to Grand Haven Michigan this time of year and for the most part they’ll bite on minute and shut off or move the next. And if you’re in them, doesn’t matter if you or your buddy’s posted or told the guy at the bait shop, somebody is gonna pull up and ask if their biting then regardless what you tell them they’ll drop an anchor in your drift. The only benefit to posting is maybe it will sell a couple minnows and keep a bait shop open. Pain in the ass getting minnows any more. I woke up to quarter sized hail at 3:30 in the morning today and called my buddy to cancel our excursion. Maybe I’ll head out tonight and salt his wound a little bit lol.

I checked around east of the port tonight from 4-6. I found a couple small pods in 20-30ft. I probably had 4 keep able fish in the 9-10”class and another 3 or 4 really small fish. Talked to a couple guys fishing 49ft due north of the donut. They had two keepers and had been out been out longer than me. If it’s not storming I’ll give it another shot early tomorrow. Why don’t the douche bags at the ramps stick to the weekends anymore? I’m already ready for late September.

Brought in 9 nice ones yesterday and enjoyed boned and buttered perch last night. Caught a few outside the mouth of Burns Ditch but caught most in 20 ft. off of Dune Acres. A buddy and friend caught 23 off of Mt. Baldy yesterday. My graph kept lighting up with huge bait fish balls during our outing. Bigger fish were usually hanging out above the bait fish balls.
