what took place yesterday was very scary at the mouth of the ditch. We came in early cause we figured it was going to turn into a zoo.
When perch fishermen want to pack into the inside of the ditch mouth entrance they are blocking a navigational area. We had to pull neutral drops to get inside cause one guy wanted to slow troll for perch and felt he had the right of way. Was hoping that district 10 law enforcement was out and about. Something needs to be addressed before we have a serious accident.

I'm gonna go out on a limb after my previous report and say that perch fisherman might actually have just become some of the biggest (and dumbest) jerks on the lake after what I saw this weekend.  Nobody even tries to find their own fish anymore: they just pack fish.  Anyone blocking the port entrance like yesterday should be ticketed and towed.  Just plain ignorant.  The problem is that a lot of these guys aren't big lake fisherman: they don't understand the rules nor understand the serious safety hazards they are causing clogging up the port entrance like that.  These are inland lake guys that see reports that the perch are in and come to the big lake to see what all the fuss is about.  I get it: I don't blame them.  I'd be the same way if I went to fish Max or the chain or anything like that, since I never do it I'd have no clue there either and be out of my element.

Just use your head before your boat gets swamped - or worse yet, when your spot lock doesn't hold, you get pushed up into the rocks.

After reading a little more, I retract my previous statement.  On one hand I'm bummed I didn't hardly get out this weekend as this week is going to be very questionabke weather wise, but at the same time glad I missed this mess.
