A good but not great day with Plane To Sea and Storm1n. I did expect better, but that is fishing! I really thought it would be stupid hot but was just decently "solid". We set up around 7am between the donut and pavilion in about 50 FOW. Didnt have a ton of time to fish (work). I wanted to start inside early but there were alot of boats out and I wasnt in the mood to deal with navigating boats. We worked generally outside of all the boats and slid deeper. Nothing hot but a slow pick. I really thought we would get into a hot zone but didnt. The target was Kings and we went 6 for 10 on kings. Got a nice steelie and a handful of coho. We worked just above the middle of the water column down to the bottom. Oddly, boards were mostly dead, and riggers and dipsies took the bulk of our fish. Reg size blue/ / green sppons did well. We hit a few on FF back 120 to 130 on a 3 setting. SOG speed of 2.6' give or take seemed to work best.

Water temps were 54 surface and 50 down 50 FOW/

Kings were 12.15, 17, 18, 19, 21 - Steelie 10 - and cohos 4-5 give or take. I think the kings will be gone after the north blow tomorrow. I hope a chunk of them stay in the area, just in deeper water vs going north. I think its very possible since there is so much bait around. Fingers crossed!

Great job. Fishing has been so great, it's frustrating when you have to work a little bit for them.

Not frustrating as much as just plain having too high of expectations lol. Still was a good day by any standard.

looks like a solid trip to me, way to go Jeff and crew. Maybe next spring will be as great as this one.

I sure hope so. I love the way the lake has setup this and last year.
