I went new. I was able to sell the trolling motor and all electronics from the old boat and put toward the boat. It is quite the change from my old Alumacraft Competitor 165 with a 70 horse Yamaha tiller.

Oh yeah it is, well done.  My old Baron could fit inside the new ones.  Enjoy your new boat,  maybe I'll see you out there.  I might be the only Angler Qwest on the south end since Webster3 sold his.

I look forward to getting out and will keep an eye out for you. I believe there is a guy who has a tv show that fishes out of an Angler Qwest. They do look like there is a bunch of room on them.

Very nice!  The newer Lunds have their track system built in.  Get some of the mounts and no need to drill any holes to Mount rod holders and riggers.  Nice feature!

Nice boat! A new to you boat is a complete different game. You need to become comfortable with it, learn how it fishes. Each boat fishes a little different. Learn all of the ins and outs of it and have all the safety gear. Learn your range because when fishing offshore you can potentially have to go a long way from shore to chase the good fishing. I am in the same spot as you with the new boat, while mine is not "new" it is new to me so I resonate with what you are saying on that topic.

Even though the Lunds have the track I went with Traxstech on the gunnels. I just liked the set up. It definitely takes some learning with the new boat. Im trying to do the trolling with a kicker and steering with the bow trolling motor. A lot different than trolling when you have a tiller motor. I'm not one for pics but here is one when I picked it up.

Absolutely gorgeous!  I'm with you with tracks on the gunnels- keeps rod handles outside of the seating area.  Trolling with bow for steering and kicker for  primary propulsion is a great way to go,  especially if you have a itroll or Trollmaster to dial in kicker speed. Set about 80% of required power coming from your kicker( locked in straight) the other 20% to steer the bow.  Just point your boat where you want to go, hit the button and you're trolling hands free.  Your boat will catch alot of wind so if it starts to over power your bow just dial it up. It takes a little time to get it down but it comes pretty easy. I trolled that way with my Baron and it was perfect. With my current Tritoon,  that way works up to about 2 foot waves then i have to turn bow motor up too much to compensate.  I'm adding a Lowrance autopilot this winter to my main and running a tie bar to my kicker to steer that way when it gets windy- something you may want to consider down the road if you're running Lowrance graphs and you find your biw motor using alot of battery.  Also for trolling big water they make enlarged strap on keels for your trolling motor.  I have and use one and it definitely helps. But a word of caution if you use one and it gets nasty you can trash your motor. I was out in my Baron in 5 footers occasional 6's and the waves and current was too much torque with that enlarged skeg and broke my gearbox.

Good luck with it, that's a great boat for the big pond.

Great looking boat!  If you can swing a Garmin Reactor Kicker auto pilot I highly recommend.  A buddy has a 26’ Sportcraft with a Merc 15 pro kicker and it works great.  Controls speed and direction.  On mine I have the Raymarine SPX5 Sport Pilot and it works great but trollmaster is needed also to control speed.  Makes fishing with just 2 guys or solo very easy.  And even more important no more arguments when fishing with the wife.  Lol
