Is anybody fishing lately? Only seems to be the same few reporting. Our salmon season has been pretty good, but we only hit the perch right a couple times.

We are off to Ludington for one last go round next Fri-Sun. We will get out a couple more times locally. We have one goal, and thats to boat a 20# king. Our season would be complete with that accomplishment.

Its been really good fishing on the south end. ( I havent been out since this past Saturday). At least 15 to 20 bites most trips. Most of them being kings. The last week it was a really deep bite tho. 115 to 150fow getting bites from 300 copper to rigger down 120.

Nice little pile of perch to boot. This is what my brother and I refer to as my hell month. Lots of family commitments right during the summer run. We sneak out when we can, but haven't made it out to the big pond since 2nd weekend in July. Finally through it and just holing this forecast changes his upcoming weekend. Lol good luck to all and happy fishing!!

I enjoy all the posts, my fishing has been down this year because of kid sport activities on the weekends, summer vacation and the weather on the weekends has not been good for my schedule much this year. I am hoping to get back out soon and will post when I do.

We pushed our Ludington trip back a week and couple days. My son has a couple days off school, so we are gonna try to avoid the weekend crowd a little. Water temp up there still very warm, and only seeing a few reports of jiggers getting some fish in close. We love going out on the lake, but with unpredictable weather so often, we want to be able to troll PM Lake and the harbor if the weather is bad,  but need the fish to be there. Come on cold water and rain!

Thank you for continuing to post during a dry spell on here. I’ve been following your trip posts and trying to learn this new fishery. I’m excited to keep learning and get up there to try for a king once it flips.

Looks like big blow this weekend in Ludington. They have cold water at 35-40ft down. So if it turns over, next week should be gangbusters with staging kings in close.

Its been longer than I want to admit that ive been on the water. Between weather, family vacation, weather, weather, and weather, its been a rough 6 weeks trying to get out. That said, fingers crossed I can squeeze out this weekend and at least give it a shot.

Not looking good on the big water. Saying 3-5 footers. Hopefully it turns the lake and the cold water will work its magic.
