I heard that. I have two of the head units but they both have the same problem which has been the most common problem with this unit and it's the spring for the drive. I've been trying to get answers for two days so I can understand why this happens. The spring isn't broken but I think the ear on each end of the spring appears to be bent slightly. Steering is when the autopilot is off is very hard to turn the steering wheel and from everything I've read the steering wheel is harder to turn than it would be without the autopilot. I'll keep you posted
