Does Marty operate out of LaPorte by chance?

edit I looked them up and they do operate out of LP.  I have heard great things about the work they do.

Yes, he has a shop in La Porte but does a lot of bigger boats during the summer out of Doyne's. Extemely knowledgeable and won't steer you wrong.

Well, the Grady is gone, sold it last fall with the hopes to move up to something a little bigger and a little more comfortable for the rest of the family for this season. Found a super clean 1990 Sea Ray 250 Weekender out in Ohio and pulled it home Saturday.  Can't wait to get it rigged and in the water here asap,  have a nice blank slate to work with.

Thanks! It clean to the point I almost didn't want to break the previous owners heart that i would be drilling holes in it for rod holders and dragging bloody salmon over the side.  But it should serve a great purpose for the family.

Keeping fingers crossed I can get into Marina Shores this year, and be closer to the fish than Hammond.

Yes Sir,Portage marina is another option. This with be my third year there. I believe you will enjoy that boat for lake.

I am definitely on it already, actually called and put myself on it as soon as I had a deposit on the boat.  They seemed optimistic about me getting a spot, guess there weren't too many ahead of me, and several people already backing out for the season. Time will tell.
