Good morning Tim,
Your right just used the wrong words. There was a re-shuffle of where silver fish were to be stocked. MDNR pushed king stocking south out of tribal waters.
That is how the Joe and Grand got between them around 500,000 kings Not sure if that is going to continue.

Slack, the reason nothing has been heard yet is the owner of the fish would not allow any scale samples to be taken. His fish so he has the right to say no. However the person doing the mount is suppose to take a backbone sample along with a scale sample to provide to the MDNR. That part has not been handed of yet from the taxidermy fella. So we continue to wait.

Ed, so the 1mil mi was going to stock still was stocked just moved around?

the 1 mil will not be until 2023 stocking, there was not a full agreement on Michigan to go to that number. Jay had a 3 year agreement on the stocking number that was set, with 2022 being the end of that agreement.
So the number of stocked was approx. 695,000, I believe with out looking it up. But you can see out of that number how many got pushed out of tribal waters.
