Been a busy year so I haven't got out much and I am trying to get out this weekend. Whats biting and where?

Any reports out of Maxi?

Over the past few weeks I've fished a couple different lakes around the Maxi area. Slow is the best I can say. Water is warm and fish are deep. At least that's what I've seen lately.

Been using tungsten ice fishing jigs to fish deep for gills and crappie in the natural lakes. Clearer the water deeper you have to fish. Tip them with waxworms.

Why buy another boat when everyone i fish with has one. Ill let you guys do all the work and make the payments. Ill just do the fishing. BTW went to Big Lake for smallies then Loomis in Valpo.

Maxi has been slow, weedy as heck and small fish.
Water is very warm.
