TOPIC:

I was able to get out this afternoon to one of my urban spots. Around 5:15 a nice buck came down the trail, but he stopped right behind a tree. He was facing directly at it and his antlers were sticking out several inches on each side.
He stood there for 15 minutes without moving or presenting me with a shot. He finally turned and began to walk away. I took a quartering away shot at 26 yards, he jumped and trotted off.
I waited for a bit, climbed down and found my bolt. It was missing a fletching and had very little blood on it. I searched the area and found a good blood trail. I began to follow a trail of steady blood for several hundred yards till it came to a creek where the buck crossed.
At this time I decided to call my friend and wait for a bit..
After another 45 minutes we began to track the blood trail again on the other side of the creek. There was heavy blood and several places where the buck bedded down. 35 yards later we came across him.
He's a big boy, and I'm a very happy hunter.
