My son in law and I both shot 8 pointers from the same stand 8 hrs. apart Sunday, been a long season for me, I bow hunt too. Missed a nice 8 3 weeks ago, passed a couple little guys, didn't get any last year for the same reason, glad to have some in the freezer!! My phone won't let me send pictures but mine was 182 lbs. field dressed, not a big rack but big body.

Funny how things go when deer hunting. Enjoy them back straps.

I have had a slow season bow hunting in Illinois and Indiana.
Opening week I arrowed a nice doe but hit a little far back. I waited an hour to look for her. When I found her, she only went 80 or so yards, but the coyotes got to her first.
I passed on several smaller bucks hoping on one of the big ones I have getting pics of, but I haven't had a shot at any of them.

I’ve usually arrowed a couple deer by now but been busiest I’ve ever been work wise only deer hunted maybe 10 times compared to previous years of hunting every other afternoons
