Was out a few hours in lake station before the rain yesterday. Ice was pretty solid 5" and the snow was hardening up with the he warmer temps. Fish must have thought it was February since they were mostly in the basin but I managed to get a nice meal worth of gills and perch on tungsten glow jigs and waxies.

I drove past a few retention ponds today and about ten feet of shoreline was open water n wavy

Not sure how the next few days will end up but yesterday evening I checked a local lake. The edges were definitely exposed and took some looking to find a safe way on the ice. The ice itself hovered at the 4" mark and with the snow gone it was pretty clear. No fish but hopefully I'll get another chance in a couple of weeks.
