A North American Ice Fishing Circuit Open Qualifier is set for Feb. 11 in LaPorte. Lots of information at www.naifc.com.
Besides bigger $ competition, the group seems to do it right - free seminars with industry and angling pros on Fri. (2/9), a Kid's Camp on Sat., then the contest on Sun.
There is also a regular ice fishing contest set for Sat., 2/10 run by Friends of Fishing.

I just took a ride around Pine and Stone Lake and it’s looking pretty rough in terms of ice. Hopefully we get some good cold weather without a blanket of snow so we can get some good safe ice.
