Hello to all!
My first year in northwest Indiana. I've got a new to me Wellcraft Nova xl from 1987 in the dry stacks at East Chicago (Pastrick). It took me until the end of July to get it running, so I missed the salmon this year. I'll try to figure out lakers for the balance of this year. Salmon are gone until next year, true?

The wife and I have hit the beach east if the Gary light and US Steel. Beautiful water!! I will read your posts with interest and share what I can, being a newbie.

I have GPS coordinates for the Gong and the Wreck, but have not been there. Will they hols lakers this time of year? Any advice will be appreciated!

Welcome aboard! Lakers this time of year will be out deeper. Your probably going to need to get to 801-100 FOW. However, as the water cools they will start to come in. Many people jig for them off the breakwalls in November and beyond weather permitting. In Spring you might find them in the areas you suggested through may or so depending on the weather patterns. Once the water warms up the move out to cooler water.
