Just bought a "new to me" Mercury 50 hp tiller for my 17' johnboat. Motor doesn't have a prop on it, was wondering what would be the best pitch for the lighter boat? Boat is around 700#'s then usually carry around another 600#'s in people, gear, gas and batteries. I was thinking around a 22 degree but just wanted to see what you guys thought.

I have a Cabela's stainless steel prop I used on a 17 foot War Eagle . It came off of a 2001 mercury 50 horse two-stroke. I can get the numbers off of it for you tomorrow , If you would be interested in it. You will get a really good deal on it. Rudey

Jum's, I found the prop. I will PM you my phone number I can send you pictures on a cell phone if you want. If you want to I will give you the prop to try if it works good for you you can have it for $50. Pay me after you try the prop.
