While "running" the boat yesterday twice the steering wheel would briefly lock up . It has the original 2001 cable style unit. Any thoughts ? Thanks Rudey

I am guessing there is some corrosion in the cable and you might try finding a way to get some sort of lubrication in there. Just a guess though, only had one boat with cable steering and I quickly changed it to hydraulic.

BEST GUESS YOU NEED A NEW CABLE TIME TO CONSIDER CONVERTING TO HYD STEERING MOST OUT BOARD MOTORS HAVE TO COME OFF BOAT TO CHANGE STEERIING CABLES IME TO RESEAL MOTOR MOUNT BOLTS
