DNR did spring perch assessment in Michigan City today. Best catch in that survey in at least a decade. Maybe caught as many fish as the last 10 years combined, even. Almost all males, 7-9 inches. Likely the 2015 yearclass

45-50 feet had lots of fish. Inside of that had very few.

Both north of condos and over by Mt Baldy had fish...probably more north thansouth

An enterprising person could probably cover a bunch of ground and find some schools. Not sure if they would have eating on their mind, or other activities though

Water was 54 on the surface and 47 on the bottom
