I was fishing the pier in St. Joe this morning for catfish with the kids (did well!) and there was a really tight pack of about 15 or 20 boats in maybe 30 feet, south of the piers. Not quite to the pumping station it looked like. I'd heard thru the grapevine that they were getting going and there were definitely a bunch of people out targeting them

There's a nice thermocline at about 40-45 feet on both the Michigan City Buoy and the Cook Buoy. Bodes well for perchin if it sticks around!

Thx for the tip. Fished St Joe today, though quite a bit further south than the water plant and deeper water and did well. Ended up with my 25 fish limit all nice perch today!

Nice job guys! Ive been debating my next trip later this week either trolling or perch? Hard to go wrong with either or.
