What would you think about a live open chat type section where people online could talk without making posts. Just a thought. Not trying to be a pain because I love this site.

I would have to look into it. I contemplated considering it at one time. My primary concern is that if a report was given via chat it may never end up in a post, which ends up in the archives and people can search etc.
