Taking tomorrow off and going to try either Portage or E.C. Any one get out today? Just trying to figure which area to fish. Looks like tomorrow is going to be the nicest the next few days.

Well it was at least a beautiful morning on the lake. Could not believe all the bait around the ditch. Kamikaze seagulls were an unreal sight for sure. More than Saturday and Sunday. We started the east troll to the #4 all the way past the donut with out a release. It was a great day to wash lures. We trolled out to 55 foot and marked quite a few fish ranging from 10 to 45 foot but no takers. Tried all different speeds and set ups and nothing worked. Just one of those days. Going to start traveling north to Waukegan. Normally don't start moving until June but this year seems to be a early one. Hopefully i'm wrong and they will start moving back in with the bait that is there. Good luck to who makes it out this weekend.

Thanks for the report...it helps all of us. Kind of disturbing with all that bait around and what seems to be...very few fish

Surface temps were a consistent 53 degress. 65 degrees coming out of ditch. Water must be a tad to warm for them in close. A guy at the ramp said he was in 70 ft of water and caught 3 out there. i guess just have to be in the right place at the right time.

yup - Im thinkin offshore starts about right now. yay!
