Has anyone read anything on coho fingerling stocking for Indiana this year? I read were recently Waukegan stocked 100,00 coho, but I cannot find anything on Indiana.

I believe Indiana stocks their coho in December so you will need to check for 2014 or wait until after Thanksgiving.

Good question, and Indiana biologist Brian Briedert will be speaking to the Hoosier Coho Club on Wednesday (May 13)., 7 p.m. at 121 Skwiat Legion Ave, Michigan City. Certainly will be updating.

Indiana has had an annual goal of 240,000 coho (split btw. 3 tribs), which are typically released in December as 12-month old fish (earlier than natural cycle in order to maximize numbers to be stocked).
However, that plan has been tweaked, for the future, with coho intended for St. Joe to be held in hatchery for 18 months with the intention of growing larger/getting better return. Following link explains a lot:

if not, Briedert surely can clarify this week.

Also, there was that hatchery problem (Ind and Mich) two winters ago where half the coho were lost, or that was the report at the time, which are the coho which will impact the fishing in 2016.
