Launch the boat by 8:15 AM. Made it to the mouth of the ditch and saw several boats fishing there I decided to go west to the Gary wall and Start in 38 fow near the opening. Before I could get the third rod set we had two fish on . It was only myself and my grandson. We went 6 for 17 there. Ran back to the ditch and set up near the corner of number four light on the south end. I installed a new Terrova and needed to get it linked and paired with the GPS. Had a great threefold day today 1 got to take the grandson fishing 2 got to set up my new trolling motor 3 the shakedown cruise went great. Red Artties did most of the work. 4 flatlines and 2 dr’s at 5 and 7 ft. Rudey.

You can't leave us hanging on edge with that thinfish looking like that. What happened? Big fish fight or what looks like an IED planted in the lure body to detonate when the coho pulls on the lure. I hope it's a real humdinger of a story and not your grandson stepping on it or something. LOL

Glad you asked Don, the story I was told by my grandson was “the fish did it “. I didn’t see it till he got done tapping the fish on the head . LOL That being the worst thing that happened today it didn’t matter. Just means a trip to Slez’s. Rudey

That darned fish got even Rudey. Just remember to tell the people eating the coho to watch for plastic shrapnel when they chew.:ohmy: Looks like a good time to me. I am envious.

When I know there will be boys on the boat I bring a can of rocks for them to throw, I let them squirt the hose - but I hide the fish billie club. Now you all see why!
