Hey guys, planning on heading out thursday! Thinking either making the drive to north Chicago or ec. Any suggestions? Or other launches u would suggest instead where I can find some nice fish? Also any suggested colors, spoons or flies, depths of lure, ect.?

Been out a couple times and never struck out but only been 1 or 2 ever time.

Not sure on how far you want to run but the last 2 weeks we've done well north of the tri state area in 50-10. Check my last 2 posts.

Spoons green/yellow/orange/ blue/silver about 30ft down in 80 to 120 FOW seems to be the depth, doesn't seem to matter where just hit that depth and start looking for bait. Lake trout have been really aggressive lots of Coho high in the water with an occasional king or steelhead.

Just got back. All though I didn't catch anything. I definitely learned alot today.

Marked alot of bait and fish in the 90 feet deep. Fished that forn2 hours. Then headed north to 110 feet deep. Fished that and went back because of more on fishfinder.

I used orange, silver, green, blue spoons. Tried 3 different Dodgers/fly With only 1 hit all day on orange. (Witch I lost).

I think my main problem is not really knowing how deep I'm running my leadcore and my dipsey divers.

I had consistent action on the state line between 52 and 54. Coho and lakers all on down riggers and sliders between 80' and 30'. Green spoons were hot.

Don't feel too bad. I went out On Monday and fought 9 fish. Went back thursday and we were 0 for 1. alot of the same water and some different from 80 to 110. Keep at it, and you will have success. Iheard wednesday morning was good. I guess the afternoon was not that great? At least not for me!
