Late start due to the storms this morning, heck of a light show on the drive up to slip and sitting in the marina!

Didn't get on the water til almost 7. Went out looking for Skamania, as it sounds like the run is heating up. fished from 30 to 60 FOW from central beach to lighthouse varying depths. Lots of perch or bait marked in 30 to 40 FOW. Quite a few decent fish marks as well, so I think there are some to be had. Not sure if they were thrown off by the storms or they just didn't like what was out there.

Only fish of the day was a Coho on a 125 copper with a standard size sister Sludge spoon.

Planning on heading out again tomorrow morning, but might go for perch. Lot of boats out fishing for them today, but haven't heard any reports regarding success levels.

Made the mistake of trying to target Skamania again today in tight. Couldn't get a hit. Ended up heading from the light house to the weather buoy. #1 Dipsey on 2 setting out 55 with a chrome 00 dodger and purple fly took a solid hit, but the release was too tight and it didn't trip. Bye bye fish... Same Dipsey setup on the other side of the boat out 42 with 00 fire dodger and red / white fly took a hit as we were turning to head back toward the lighthouse from the buoy. Drag was way too loose on the rod and that fish got away as well...

First skunk of the year. Had to happen sooner or later! Should have had everybody get a Michigan license and headed out deep, or just gone for perch.

Thanks for the report- we had a pretty good bite going in NB Saturday until the Front came through and the winds picked up. Bite died with it.
