Saturday:
Left the slip @ 4:30 AM
Went north of the ditch to MI water and dropped lines in 90' about 5:00 AM.
Trolled N/NNE from 90 to 120' with best action coming in the 115' depth.
5 color lead with Orange Dodger / Purple fly (2" long)
The king came on DR, 28 feet back set at 80' down.
Ended the day early with 2 man limit, 8 coho, 1 steel-head and 1 nice king.... plus a release at the back of the boat, 7 to 8 lb. king hit as we were pulling lines in.
Sunday:
Ran the same route with different results.
6 coho and 3 lake trout (released)
Spoons did best.....blue dolphin and green dolphin mag size.
We did catch the largest coho both days with a John King Black Mamba 2 fly meat rig.
