We (Plane To Sea, Bob, Cruise, Kingme, Storm1n) fished the final leg of the HCC champ series over the weekend. Fishing was tough with the boat traffic but the kings were there. We lost a Monster or two and came away with some great fun and fish stories. Finished up with a 13, 17, 20, and 26 lb kings as well as some small 5 lb kings and a steelhead and a few coho. Our first fish was a real beast. After a 40 min fight we finally got to the leader and the he just popped off - always frustrating when that happens on any fish much less the first one!

We were right out front, marked and caught fish in 32 to 45 FOW. Caught fish going 2.2 to 2.7 at the ball. Best setup was regular moonshines on 150 coppers. The biggest king that we landed came on a jplug on a 100 copper - and was the only jplug hit we had.
