Those bass boats are so fast they only hit the tops of the waves!

I had a pro-basser on my boat one day and we were bouncing through five footers coming from the ship canal around the end of inland steel and over to Pastrick. The BASS Classic was to be held on Lake Michigan that year. As we rounded the third light, he leans over and yelled to me, "Tell me again where I'm supposed to be fishing when the classic comes around?"

Another time I saw a bass boat roar by. I was fishing the calm between the 2nd and 3rd light but five footers were rolling on either end. The boat went airborn on the first wave, then nose-dived into the second wave and both anglers flew out of the boat. Luckily, they did have there PFDs on. By the time I got to them, they were back in the boat, bailing and the bilge pump was running, motor idling. All okay. Dumbasses!
