We got a late start out of SJ this morning and had lines set around 10 am. It didn’t take long for the first rod to fire though. We ended up going 9/16 between 40 and 60 FOW. It didn’t matter which direction we trolled as long as we kept the speed around 2.5-2.8 mph. All coho. We had 3 kings on but lost them. Saw one jump a few times. They really do pull line and take off like a freight train this time of year.

Sweet! Trolling the mudline, or did you head away from the pierheads a ways?

We did both. But most of our fish came in 50 FOW. Not always in the dirty water.
