TOPIC:

Had great ambitions but a tough day.  Headed west to 18 and set up in 70' working north/south and a bit west into the 19's. Temp break about 45' - 50' down to 49 degree water. Had a quick on rigger down 50' then nothing for way to long. Moved east a bit to the 17's in 65'- 70' trying to avoid the pack and once it thinned a bit moved in to 60'- 57' of water when the action started to finally happen.  To add to slow day, we couldnt keep the ones we had buttoned up and on a two-man spread managed 6-12, 4 steelies and 2 coho.  Lorin Frog magnum then stinger (magnum broke off) on 250' steel was the hot ticket.  Seems like bait is still in close but the fish might be starting to scatter, didnt sound like anyone was crushing them, a few flurries then a methodical pick.
