Made the run up Saturday morning. First time launching and fishing there, although we scoped out the launch and river over the summer. On the water at 5:40 fast time. Ran out with a group of boats 5 miles to 100fow. Quick hit and run, then a four hour lull until we picked up a laker. Radio chatter was very, very bleak, so at least it wasn't just us. Said some fish were being taken in 200fow, but the wind and waves were building, so we had to stay closer to port in our small time ride.

Thanks for the report. Sounds kinda tough all around except far far north like Ludington or sturgeon bay.

Thanks for reporting! Wasn’t great out of SJ this AM either. 2 for 5 with a couple of lakers was all we had to show for it. 110-140fow.  Did talk to 1 boat that said they got a few kings in close this morning.

Yeah sometimes a crap shoot where to start. We go out deeper, then hear they were in closer. Lol. Just how it goes.

Northern reports are good! We might try Muskegon next. Plenty of videos posted on YT with kings from Holland north.
