I just made two for my boat. Going with one off each side due to the layout of my boat. Not as nice as yours but should be functional. Wanted to test them out this weekend but weather is not cooperating. Also have two new home made planar boards to try out. Total out of pocket for both Planar boards and masts around $50 -$60.

Just did the test on mine tonight - it was rough waters so stayed inside the breakwall but they held up well. I put a chain across the two because I was not sure how much pull would go on the masts but I the chain was not needed. Would be nice to have the crank reels but mine worked pretty good. Just have to tweak a few minor things on the Alumacraft mounts but other than that they worked well.

The third picture is of a grab line I made so when I have to attach a new fishing line to the Planar line I can just use that grab line to pull the planar line to me. I am sure I will have some more tweaks later but for now this is my setup.

I will get a picture later but here are the plans my cousin used to make them. Musky Bob is the third post with a picture of the design and all the hardware required.

Also the pull on the Mast was not that heavy and if you have one off each side it should equal out the pull. Since I am only running one board off each I just have side pull that I was concerned about being it is connected to just a plastic mount.
