Cisco

This meeting is to provide information and receive input; to and from members. This is an open interactive meeting, we represent our members to the MDNR, State Legislators and Federal Agencies. It is important for all of us to understand what is happening with our fisheries and the impact that internal/outside influences are having on management decisions. We need to be able as an organization to provide informed educated input/ideas to our fisheries managers.

Hey guys some good things out there on the horizon. Made it up to the Ludington meeting and met with the Great Lakes Salmon Initiative group. Jay Wesley was there to speak on items of interest. I'm not sure if everything is finalized as where Michigan will make moves, so I don't want to jump the gun. I'm sure when both Michigan and Indiana have finished we will here from Ben on whats new with zonal management and where fish will be moved. I have been to alot of meetings over the years and came away from this one feeling good with seeing hard work done on both ends moving the fishery into a very postive position. Good news on the horizon for our members fishing southwest Michigan.
