I recently purchased another boat . I have done the DNR Registration procedure . They gave me a Temp Tag . Is / are there rules / regs for what to do with the existing #s that are on the boat . Out of state #s and the registration sticker has expired .  WHAT TO DO ?  I want to use the boat SOON without throwing RED FLAGS for the DNR or COAST GUARD ,,, I contacted IDNR and have not received an answer .

THANKS

If you are from IN, the registration is handled by the BMV. Call or stop in at a local license branch to see what's happening

Thanks ,,, I'm in Illinois and have paid the OUT OF CONTROL TAXES and sent in the proper Paper Work . The #s and Registration , all go thru Il. DNR . I sent the IDNR the same question . It's been 1 week and NO ANSWER .  I find THAT somewhat strange as I have asked them questions before , and usually get an answer PRONTO ,,,  HOPE the Documentations come soon ,,,
