TOPIC:

I'm thinking about replacing the 2X6 Bunks on my boat trailer .  Is there a preferred lumber that should be used ?  I heard that Wolmanized / Treated Lumber is corrosive to Aluminum . What type / kind / brand of wood sealer should be used on the boards ?  Has anyone tried the Synthetic PVC Lumber for bunks ? Don't know if that would be strong enough or flex / bend too much .  Any input Pros / Cons is greatly appreciated .

PS , the bunks were very sticky , with the boat . Could not winch it up , the last 2 ft. .  Had to back trailer in deeper and power up on . Trailer Bunk Slicks ?

Google ultimate bunk boards, those are the best I found, really expensive, seen them on a trailer in portage once, looked really solid, after tons much research I just used untreated premium lumber, used thompsons water seal coated it till dry and repeat several times, used outdoor carpet adhesive wrapped it with carpet and used stainless staples, would not use treated wood, you tube will give u some pointers on wrapping the carpet on the edges of your picky and want it to look nice. 
 

I put the ultimate bunk boards on my trailer last year. Expensive? Yes, but worth it. I’ll never replace them. 
they are super slick. Made launching and retrieving my boat much easier (especially if you are solo).
