Might be worth the drive to check out the Day 2 weigh-in at the Classic in Michigan City.on Sunday. Teams fish until 1 p.m. with weigh-in behind the MC Yacht Club (across the harbor from DNR). mostly from 1:30-2 p.m. It is the one time top fishermen talk about the when, where and how of winning catches, although some will compete at St. Joe next weekend.

As for Day 1 - trememdous chinook catch. Check out the weights on the Hoosier Coho Club website. Multiple 20-pound plus kings. Fellow southender Kick R posted 98.75 lbs with five fish (!!!). Pro leader Fin Scout scaled 161 lbs for 10 salmon

I agree. I was at the weigh in today and it was a sight to see for sure. The fish look healthy and are big. I think the DNR made the right call on stocking cutbacks, at least it appears to be working. Wish I could make it tomorrow

On the radio at shotgun start this morning they announced 1800lbs of salmon came in yesterday. Amazing! We had a couple.

Cruusing back to same spot now.

Catches were unbelievable. Definitely will be some monsters this fall. We have to work on our King program lol ;)
