I smallmouth fished today for the first time in years at the request of a buddy. I managed to bot 5 bass 12 to 18inches all on 3" tubes, my buddy that insisted on bass fishing showed uo with 5 rods and a garbage bag full of baits and landed 1 goby. We fished Buffington and Gary and there were fish all over the place but they were just hovering around in a spawn/post spawn funk. I think we were a week or two behind the prime of the bite, fun fish, but I'll stick to silver fish and perch.
