It's been a tough year for hunting, but I finally got one down.
I got into my blind around 1:45, and a doe with her 2 fawns came out around 15 minutes later. I have been passing on these 3 all season. They fed around me for a bit, then bedded down about 20 yards from me.

Just before sundown the three deer got up and were acting nervous. A 4 pointer and a doe walked into the clearing. I was going to take the doe, but I caught a glimpse of antlers just down the trail. I was watching the antlers and the doe started getting agitated. She was staring right at me from 5 yards. I got a look at the bigger buck, and he was getting nervous also and was actually starting to back up. The doe calmed down, started walking away, and the buck calmed down and followed her into the clearing.

The buck came into the clearing, and I let a bolt fly. I waited a bit and went to check my bolt. Good blood on the bolt, and a good blood trail. I followed the trail for 25 yards and found the buck piled up with a gaping exit wound from the NAP Spitfire.broadhead.
