Hello everyone... Thinking of moving 18 ft crestliner with kicker to a Marina at Burns Ditch. Wondering how fishing is in the Ditch and what species can be caught. Since I mostly fish alone there will be many days when Lake will be to rough for me. Thanks in advance

Bass (LM & SM) and Pike are in the ditch year round, crappie can be found sometimes. Throughout various times of the year salmonids can be caught as they are moving upstream.

Dogfish/Bowfin are there also if you want to go after them.

And catfish, carp, and drum for that matter. Some good fishing for those "rough" fish species if you are into it. Can be fast action

Welcome to the site. Depending on your commute and what you want to fish for there are plenty of opportunities out of the Ditch as discribed above. If you watch the weather you definitly can pick your days to get out and enjoy what the lake has to offer. As far as Marina's there are several to choose from, I have docked at Marina Shores for several years and would give them the endorsement as the marina with the most to offer for services, staff, and ammenities.

Decided to relocate boat to either Marina Shores or Portage Municipal Marina. Marina Shores newer but 1/3 more expensive. Have read a few bad reviews on Municipal. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I dont slip my boat but know guys in both marinas and both are good. The nice thing about Marina shores is you get a pool, lockers, restaurant, fish cleaning station. Its a little more private as well due to no trailered traffic.
