My 10 year old son and i were just up to try our luck at coho fishing. We live east of Indy. I've never been coho fishing before but I received a DNR email telling me how to catch them. Lol after that didn't work out so well, we ran into a few very helpful fisherman with excellent advice and even gave us a couple lures to try. Their advice and lures were very helpful! One group was launching when we were, when my duck boat motor was being stubborn due to the cold weather. They actually came back to check on us and made sure we were ok. I was really impressed how awesome everyone was that we talked to. Thank you for helping me show my son a great time fishing!

It was great talking to you and your son. I love seeing parents getting involved in the outdoors with there kids. Your son was so polite and respectful. He must have wished us good luck at least 6 times. It was a good day to be on the lake and catching some coho was a bonus. Welcome to the site and maybe we will see you and your son again.

Well I personally know the guy that wrote that DNR guide and he doesn't even own a motorboat, so how good of a fisherman can he be, really?

All kidding aside, glad you made it out, met some helpful anglers, and caught fish! Welcome to the addiction that is big lake fishing
