Today left at 5:30 am fished from 6 am to 12:30 pm. The 2 of us caught 19 keepers 8 to 12 inch. Started in front of ditch 1 hit moved to donut caught 3 dinks. Tried several spots on the way to Black Ditch nothing. The fish caught were slightly to the west (300 yards) of Black Ditch in 20 to 35 feet using a white spinner and green flies.

Tried thismorning just after sun up but wind and waves did not help the great hunt for perch. The young one caught one on a fast drift east past the dunes but the wind and waves made it not much fun. Off the lake by 10 am.

WAS DOING REALLY GOOD EARLIER IN THE WEEK. LOTS OF BOATS HAD ZIPPO!! OR ONE OR TWO. LEFT OUT OF THE DITCH. HAD TO KEEP GOING EAST. TO SAY WHERE I WAS WITH9OUT MY GPS WOULD BE FUTILE. BUT ALOT CLOSER TO MICHIGAN CITY THAN THE PORT. EAST OF STATE PARK. IF YOU DIDNT MARK, YOU DIDNT CATCH THEM. HAD TO MOVE ALOT BUT WORTH IT, SOME NICE JUMBOS MIXED IN. GUESSING THIS COLD FRONT/WIND SHIFT WILL SLOW THEM DOWN FOR AWHILE.
