I'm planning on taking my grandson out Thur. 7-20. Weather looks good for the am. thinking east of the donut to ?, 20 to 35 fow. Looking for other tips or suggestions , just hate to take him out and have NO action. Or do you guys think I should make other plans? Thanks Rudey

I would say there is a decent shot there are perch around somewhere. Just might have to search for them.

I'd check the Michigan City buoy right before going out, and see what depth the temp break is, and where the 65-68ish degree water is
Looking at it right now, I'd start looking in 35-40 ft. And if didn't find any there, would head shallower. But it could change by Thurs

I think I'm going to head out on the lake too. Not sure if I'm gonna launch out of Portage or Michigan city. I'll be on Channel 68 give me a shout on the radio and if I'm on them I'll let you know.
