2 of us left Portage today at 7:30 am. Tried out front, north of Gary light, ship canal and then at Calument Park about 300 yards out from the shipping lanes in 30 feet of water. About 20 boats. Kept 24 perch 8 to 11 inches; back at Portage at 4 pm. A lot of dinks. One boat at Portage ramp caught 1 laker about 8 lbs out front on the ditch. Two other boats at ramp did about the same as we did, trying various spots ending up at Calument Park.
