I’ve got a question for you guys. I always have a salmon stamp but I may be heading out this weekend with a couple of guys that have not been out yet. They will be buying one day licenses for the trip if we go. Since we will be targeting perch and it should be obvious do they need a salmon stamp. I would think not but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Dnr over this. We will be out in the boat too. I don’t want any trouble. I figure I can’t be the only person who has had this question.

Indiana one-day license includes salmon and trout (no stamp required)

If you are obviously targeting perch, you don't need a trout/salmon stamp

If you happen to catch a trout/salmon accidentally while perch fish, just release it immediately

Like Mike said though, the one-day license includes the trout/salmon stamp so your friends should be fine
