did decent today...29 perch for 3 guys...3-4 ft waves and had difficulty staying on fish with ipilot....easily an equal number of dinks....3-4 fish were 11"+....after a little while we were the only boat out there as the waves got a little larger for the smaller boats....28-32 fow in front of the castle...water stayed clear in spite of the waves...

Mich City boat races this weekend.
Place will be a mess for fishing, so have boat will
travel.

I don't think it would as long as the racers aren't to close for the waves they'll be making.
I'm heading a little north and east. :whistle:

Probably heading out of MC Saturday Morning. West should be fine but who knows. Races run from the pier to Long Beach from what I remember so Baldy / Black Ditch might be ok before noon. Could be a bust, could be gold. Only one way to find out!

Best of luck, Tim! Sure wish they would fix whatever is going on with the Cook Buoy thermistor strings.

But it sure looks like the water temps are rolling over a bit - 61 on the surface right now and 56 at 16 feet down! I am guessing perch might be scattered

If the winds hold and it stays cold, might be a bunch of staging skams with how warm the river is.
