My wife and I were going to come up for the weekend and Perch fish, but the forecast says the wind is going to be moving from the east to slightly southwest. I was always told by old anglers, if the wind is coming from the East, forget going fishing. It looks like that's a real thing. Are you guys planning on going out this weekend? We could stay closer to home but the winds are no different in Central Indiana.

I have never done well Perch fishing with an east wind on Lake Michigan. I have friends who won’t Perch fish in an east wind. I don’t have much time to fish so I’ll still make the trip but I think there is something to it.

To me it depends on where your fishing, on the Mich side, east winds do well.
New Buffalo area and St.Joe area does well on an east wind.
Southend, south and southwest winds do well.
